John (J.R) Lee

The Staff of the Texas HeatWave Soccer club remains one of the best in the country. Leading the staff is John (J.R.) Lee, Director of Training. J.R. holds a USSF "A" License and an English and Welsh F.A. Coaching Badge. He has coached at Leeds United Academy in Leeds, England. He has helped build youth programs of national distinction, including the Texans Soccer Club and the Challenge Soccer Club. He has coached both boys and girls teams that have advanced to the national championships. He has developed 30 national youth team players and over 200 players that have played at the collegiate level. J.R. has been a Region III Head O.D.P. Coach and a Staff Coach at the Adidas ESP Program. J.R. was named a Chief Scout for U.S. Soccer. Most recently he was recognized by the MLS on opening night of the Houston Dynamo MLS team for his contributions to youth soccer. He has also developed 9 MLS players. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and Child Development and a Masters Degree in Sports Administration. He also trains Premier and Competitive boys and girls teams. Working along with J.R. are some of the most highly regarded soccer trainers in Texas.
